Once considered to be a luxurious hands treatment for the rich ladies, manicures have now successively become one of the many requirements of today’s modern women. Apart from the pampering from having the treatment done, it also keeps the nails smooth, the skin soft, improves the appearance of the hands, keeps the cuticles attractive and, most importantly, keeps the nails healthy.
Our hands are a part of our body that we tend to take for granted. Just think of what you put them through everyday!
A lot of ladies think that just because they have short nails that a manicure will be of no benefit to them nor will their nails look good, but this is just not the case.
How Often Should I Have a Manicure? This is a question I am asked often. It is all very dependent on the indivual condition of your nails. I would say however not to expect beautiful nails after one treatment if your cuticles are really overgrown, but I would expect you to see an improvement. It takes time and is best if the manicures are performed every 2/3 weeks and are followed up daily by yourself with good aftercare i.e. wear gloves to protect your nails from chemicals, detergents etc. Use a good handcream and apply a good quality cuticle oil.
Boring? Not at all!! You can add bling, sparkle, cracked effect, stickers etc, this all adds something a little different if you don't just want plain.
